From 2D material transfer and die handling to lab-on-chip and production lines — PDMS gel film solves permeability, conformability, surface tack and biocompatibility challenges across industries.
PDMS gel film, silicone elastomer film and surface-tack gel film — each application below maps to a film series and a set of typical properties. Tell us your use case and we will recommend a grade.
PDMS stamp and dry-transfer film for graphene, TMDC flakes and other 2D crystals. Low modulus conforms to the source substrate and releases cleanly onto the target.
Recommended: SK / SC · 50–200 µmSurface-tack gel film holds singulated die, bare die and known-good die during shipping, inspection and pick-and-place. Three tack levels match part weight and surface finish.
Recommended: SD · T0 / T4 / T6Gel film for wafer mounting, thin-wafer support and backgrinding protection. Conforms to the wafer surface and releases without stressing thinned substrates.
Recommended: SD / SK · 200–400 µmCushioning gel layer for optics, polished parts and wafer surfaces during lapping, polishing, fixturing and scribe-and-break. Absorbs handling shock.
Recommended: SD · T4 medium tackTacky gel film liner for chip packaging boxes and carrier trays — holds parts of mixed sizes in one box and stays reusable across cycles.
Recommended: SD · sheets or die-cut padsTransparent, gas-permeable substrate for chips, assays and organ-on-chip. Soft recovery of SK/SC suits bonded channels and valves.
Recommended: SK / SC · 20–200 µmElastic, recoverable base layers for stretchable devices, wearable sensors and conformable circuits. High elongation absorbs strain.
Recommended: SK · 50–300 µm · elongation 220%Selective O₂/CO₂ passage with liquid-impermeable barrier. Used in cell culture, aeration and sampling membranes.
Recommended: SK / SC · 50 µm gradeHigh dielectric strength (20 kV/mm) and stable permittivity for dielectric elastomer actuators, sensors and insulated layers.
Recommended: DC seriesISO 10993 tested, biocompatible, solvent-free. For device components, dressings and contact-path components.

PDMS gel film is a soft, transparent silicone elastomer film made from polydimethylsiloxane, supplied with protective liners on both faces. Depending on the grade it is used as a gas-permeable membrane, a conformable dielectric layer, a PDMS stamp for 2D material transfer, or a surface-tack gel film for holding delicate parts.
Yes. Our SD series is a surface-tack gel film used for die handling, bare die and known-good-die holding, wafer mounting, thin-wafer support and backgrinding protection. It comes in three tack levels — T0 low, T4 medium and T6 high — so you can match holding force to part weight and surface finish. Both faces have a similar tack level, so there is no front or back to distinguish.
Yes — PDMS stamps are the standard tool for dry transfer of graphene, TMDC flakes and other 2D crystals, and for mechanical exfoliation. Our SK and SC grades in 50–200 µm are the usual starting point; tell us the source and target substrate and we will recommend a thickness and softness.
Stock thickness runs from 20 µm to 5 mm, including 20/50/100/125/150/200/250/300/400/500/600 µm plus 1–5 mm; 10 µm and other thicknesses are made to order. Standard sheets are 200 × 150 mm and 200 × 300 mm, sheets of 1 mm and above are 100 × 100 mm, and rolls are 300 mm wide as standard (up to 500 mm to order).
Yes — we convert by die-cutting and laser cutting. Send a drawing, a DXF file or simply the outline dimensions and quantity, and we will quote cut parts, pads, liners or gaskets as well as plain sheets and rolls.
Oxygen transmission measured on SK at 50 µm is 596,449 cm³/(m²·24 h·0.1 MPa) — about 596 litres of oxygen per square metre per day — tested to GB/T 1038.1-2022, report No. (2024)QSWJ04149. Thinner film transmits faster and each gas has its own rate, so tell us the gas and thickness you care about.
Our film is tested to ISO 10993-5 (cytotoxicity), ISO 10993-10 (skin sensitisation) and ISO 10993-23 (irritation), and to RoHS (EU 2015/863) by SGS. Report numbers and certificates are listed on our compliance page, and we can send the full reports by email.
Many customers evaluating an alternative compare on base material and tack level. Our gel film is polydimethylsiloxane — the same base chemistry used in commercial PDMS gel films — supplied in 80 / 200 / 400 µm with three surface-tack grades, plus custom thicknesses. Send us the part number you use now, or just the thickness and tack level, and we will recommend the closest match and send a sample to evaluate.
